Pink hair dye washing out?

I recently dyed my hair blonde, and have bought some pink gel - very bright pink - when my hair was normal brown the gel washed out with shampoo no problem. Now that it is blonde I am worried that it might stain the hair and leave it pinky. Normally I wouldnt care, but I have a kind of straight edge job (booooring) and they dont like oddly colored hair. SO my question is, do you think it will stain the newly colored hair, AND if it does, any suggestions to get the stain out? A color stripper or something?

it will stain it...try one of those hair clips with the crazy color hair already on it then you can take it out and put it on when appropriate.

I think that if you just leave it it will wash out. My cousin get pink highlights from a salon and they washed out within a week.

Using the pink color gel might have a color residue after you take it out but should usually come out after a wash or two. If you are really concerned with the possibility of an after-effect try (oddly enough) either toothpaste or if its really bad, just mix up a small batch of bleach and add it to 2 tablespoons or so of shampoo in a cup. Shampoo your hair with it by kinda scrunching and rubbing it into the hair down and up (by starting at the roots downward) and just a few seconds of this should work. Just don't over rub or leave it on too long. Remember: your not trying to re-bleach your hair.

When in doubt, if your REALLY concerned, just dont do it.

It will stain if your hair is dry, damaged, or porous. I would test a small section of hair first.

Color stripper should be the last alternative--it's basically bleach and your hair will be fried. A strong shampoo, like Prell, should remove the color.
