Pink hair won't go blonde - arrrghhh?

I coloured my hair pink back in early December and it looked absolutely mint - I loved it, only now I want to go back blonde (even though my natural hair colour is a dark mousy colour) because I'm looking for a new job, and not many employers in my line of work take punk barbies seriously.

I tried bleaching it back blonde using the product "B Blonde" and although its done a fantastic job colouring my roots the rest of my hair is still pink.

I can't afford to go the hairdressers as much as I would them to sort it so has anyone got any suggestions on how I can strip the pink.

Any colour with a hint of red in is hard to colour. Ideally ether go black or red or go to the hair dressers.

okay if u want your hair back blonde ....... first your going to have to go with a light or medium brown ........ but after that wait a while to die it blonde so that u don't ruin your hair ....... that is the advice i gave my bestfriend and she is a beautiful blonde again.........

dye it back natural then .... dye it blonde but i'd wait a while first or it might drop out if it get full of chemicals

Maybe it's me - but I could never understand why women feel the need to change their hair color....

My initial thought was to say 'shave your head and let your hair grow back in it's original color', but that really wouldn't work for your situation. I think one of the other people who answered is right - dye it back to a dark color, wait a couple of months, then go blonde.

you can buy pre lighteners that strip the colour out then put a blond on afterwards but do not put an ash blond on

you wont ever get rid of the pink, unless you cut it now, bleach wont do it it will only lift out a little bit if you use it loads of times your hair will just snap

first of all i want to know what pink dye u used that lasted so damn long!!!!!!!!! mine fades in a couple of weeks

dont go dark coz then u cant lighten it without having to strip if out first which doesnt always work , i tried the Rusk Elimin8 one - after 2 hours and my hair going every colour in the rainbow - it was still purple - go for a dye near ur natural colour thats the only way its gonna work really

or try using vosene or head and shoulders shampoo - they contail chemicals that strip the hair and work well on dyes too

dont use prelightener or strip your hair because it will ruin it. the reason the blonde came out on your roots is because they are your natural colour. colours with red pigments like the pink you put in your hair are often the hardest to grip in your hair when you first start using them because red is the largest colour molecule and it is hard for it to grip to the hair. for some reason though, red pigments are the hardest colours to lift our of hair. the best way to get the pink out of your hair is to dye your hair back to a colour that is similar to your natural colour. you may have to leave the colour on your roots for longer than the ends because your roots are already blonde. i havent seen how blonde your roots are so i am only guessing but i would suggest leaving it on the roots for longer. once you have darkened your hair you will have to leave it for a few weeks and then you can colour it blonde again
