you'd have to buy the bleach separate though. the dye I used stayed in my hair for 6 months. of course, all dye ruins hair, but this is like using normal hair dye only its not...normal lol. just don't use harsh shampoos and conditioners or the color will fade faster than you want.

I suggest you put your hair in two loose pig tails, move the band down to the aproximate place you want pink, and bleach the hair, rinse and follow the semi permanent instructions.

You cant make your hair a lighter shade with a semi....you can only make it darker. Your SOL unless you want to bleach out the bottom then put a semi, but that seems a bit silly.

You can use a semi permanent hair color such as redkin-shades or matrix -color sync Paul Mitchel has a hair color called ink, however these colors will not be vivid enough to show up on black hair. so you must bleach it first then add the coloring over the top. however a quick fix to what you want would be adding a few strands of pink hair that you can buy already colored and weave the strands in or glue them in they are what you call hair extensions they come in all kinds of lengths and colors and you can add one to a whole head full. then when you don't like them any more presto just take them out.

that's your best option at this point with out bleaching.

OMG! I have black hair and I have been getting hot pink chunks put in my hair for a while. You have to bleach the dark hair out before you put the pink on it or the color will not show. My hairdresser sits me under the dryer so my pores will open and the hair day will stain them better. Also, bright colors like that FADE very fast!

HONESTLY, I have a hairdresser who does it for me. I have been going to her for a while, so she really knows my hair. If I were you, I would not try to do this on my own, it can be very damaging to your hair.
