Depends on what kind of employment you are in, if you are serving in the public then I would say run it past your boss. I have my own business and I know for sure that I cannot dismiss anyone of my staff because of their hair colour, but I certaily would appreciate them talking to me if they were going to do something outstanding. Do not do it. 1) you need to bleach your hair to take your current hair color off-this will severely damage your hair and scalp; 2) it is unprofessional because pink hair color is not natural.

I love having pink hair, it's so much fun, so I would definitely suggest it (especially since you seem to want it anyway). I can only see two problems with your situation: bleaching out your black hair could be a mess (usually it'll turn orange, and that's as light as it will get) and the fact that you have a job. I don't have a job, since trying to get a job with pink hair isn't that easy (I've found out the hard way), but since you don't interact with the public, it probably wouldn't be that much of a problem. You should definitely ask your boss for permission first, because this is nothing worth losing a job over, but if they say yes, definitely go for it! Everything's more fun with pink hair...!
