black %26amp; pink always go well together!!! my hair is naturally very dark brown, almost black, %26amp; i have just my bangs dyed hot hot pink!!! i think either tips or streaks would suit equally well, depends on how much u wanna stand out!!! for me, the more unique my hair is the better, so i try to look as outrageous as possible!!! try "special effects" hair colors, that`s what i use %26amp; they last a long time in your hair...i colored my hair 2 months ago, %26amp; the color is still very vibrant!!! u can buy "special effects" at hot topic stores, or online from ebay...u can check out the colors here...

I think that black hair with pink tips would look really good! I think you should go for tips first, that way you can cut it off if you don't like it, or if you do like it, get streaks added later.

Tips give you an edgier, more emo look, whereas streaks are more punk, but pink is really cool on black hair. Red, Blue and Purple are also really cool. If you check out Fudge products they have a great range of colours.

I would say that having black hair with pink tips would be better than the strips of pink. I've played with hair color enough. definitely don't go for the pink hair with black, pink is to big of a bold color, there's barley anybody who can pull it off. Hope I helped^_^

I think it depends what is your style. If you're wearing goth clothes it won't look strange but you're wearing a sportswear more, you should think about it one more time :)

tips sound awesome. i've never seen it done. i've had pink hair for about 3 years and it was awesome, but i never got the chance to mix and match it. pink washes out very easily, so does red. the dyes dont hold so well, and black is a metallic color, so that should hold for good until you strip the hair out. i say do the pink tips with black hair, its easy to redye that way too. just dip the ends into pink dye instead of trying to gather the lock of hair to streak it each time. youll just end up having multicolored hair.
