With semi permanent color, you can only go darker. That's the first thing to keep in mind. And they really only look good when you stay within two shades of your own.

So, if you have pink skin why not play with a strawberry blonde? Fair blondes often look good when they go towards red. Just don't go for Mahogany or Auburn. Stick with Strawberry Blonde or Very Light Copper.

Just use a rinse. Don't go very dark or you're gonna look like Wednesday from the Addams Family (ghostie in the face). Unless that's the look you're going for. But any neutral color will be okay, like a light honeyed blonde, beach blonde (darker in some places), etc. The choice is yours.

If it absolutely has to be out by school, I would say don't dye it. Most semi permanent take 6 weeks to wash out. If you have fair hair it may stain your hair and you will have to let it grow out. Why don't you try some of the 1 day color rinses, or colored mousse?
