Ok, so i had pink hair for a while, and i really really loved it. but it came out in about 3-5 days. I would really like any information poeple have on dying hair pink, and making the colour stay longer, what products to use ect.

Be sure to bleach it first. The BEST funky type color is a brand called "Special Effects". It is a vegetable color. I leave it on about 2 hours (which is safe) and it lasts about 2 months. I wash my hair everyday too. And when the color does gradually wash out, it just gets lighter, it doesnt turn that ugly washed out blonde.

The best pink they have is called Atomic Pink. I know that you can buy it online. I used to be a hairstylist and this is truly the best one I have ever used. Have fun!

Try useing a red color stay shampoo and conditioner, as well as not useing really hot water whenyou are washing your hair, as that causes the hair strand to open and the color to come out

Anyway, wash your hair with colder water.

That keeps the color fresh and shinier.

Also, use a good shampoo and conditioner.

I personally use Bath and Body Works shampoo and VO5 conditioner.

They work great.

Don't wash your hair often.

Rather every other day.

Also, make sure you're using good pink hair dye.

Like "Special Effects", "Raw", or "Paul Mitchell"

Manic Panic doesn't work very well in case you're wondering.

i had pink hair that lasted long but that ws just the end result of having bleached hair and dying it a semi permanent red tht turned pink..if youre hair color is lasting so little then you must be dying your hair with semi permanent..maybe you should try dying it with a demi or permanent pink if available..good pink colors that lasts are manic panic..or you should just go to a salon and ask if they have permanent pink colors..

Hi! Now that your hair is bleached is hard for the color to last longer. Is because don't have a base to hold on. Now, do this it will last longer. Use a none permanent color(impermanent)normally it last between 6 or 10 washes depend on the porosity of the hair. Put some color on your hair with out mixing it with the peroxide,(this is to add more pigmentation) then mix extra color with the emulsion that comes with the impermanent color and apply it on the hair (previous color with out mixing) live it for 15 or 20 minutes (depend on manufacture instruction) shampoo with could water and gentle movement.Then use Cellophane Clear to seal the cuticle, this will help to last longer. Apply moderate heat for 10 minutes, rinse out use conditioner if you want it to. ok! now is ready to style as usual. Have fun!
