Will bleaching over semi-colored (pink) hair make it brighter?

I bleached my black hair and it turned a very light orange, so I thought, "okay, maybe it will be bright enough to show the pink?"

So I put the pink in, but it didn't turn out as bright as I'd like it to be. I was wondering if using bleach over it would brighten it up? Or I could bleach over it and try to put more pink in it.

Any advice, please?

ouch i think if you go any farther with the bleach your liable to lose your hair or at least have some major fall out . The bleach is really hard on your hair and on your scalp too , not to mention it will make your hair really dry and brittle . good luck if you use more bleach on it . You might not have hair left to show off any color.

if you bleach it, its gonna be orange-er, go to a sylist and have it done, anythign you do at home isnt going to be as bright as you want it, i would know my mom is a hair dresser

Bleach removes colour pigment from hair, so it won't brighten up the pink. Also, you hair has already been through double-processing and is currently weakened, if you do any more chemical treatments, it's likely for your hair to dry out and break!

For future reference, it's best to go to a professional if you drastically want to change your hair colour. It's more expensive but they'll get it done right and you would've spent the same cash on getting your hair fixed from disaster anyway.

Ummmmm I don't think it'll get any brighter but it may seriously damage your hair!!!!!!!! I'd just leave your hair the way it is for now and use a deep conditioning treatment

You need to bleach it again with a higher volume peroxide then redeposit the pink
