I have dark brown hair, and tried pink. It didn't work well, you could hardly see it. Not unless you get it professionally done. It's called Red Lights, and they come in all colors from red to orange to pink.

It depends on the strength of the die. If you plan on doing it yourself, probably not. But if you got it done professionally, you could probably bleach the part that you wanted hot pink and THEN put hot pink on it, so it would show up more. I guess you could try doing that on your own, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Not really. Best case scenario you may get some highlights in bright light or the sun. But if you want the hot pink to show up, you have to lighten your natural hair color first to blonde.

Think of it like putting pink saran wrap on top of dark brown paper vs putting it on top of lighter colored paper. You're going to see the pink better with the light color.

I suggest bleaching the sections you want to dye first because that will create a nice pale section of hair to put the pink on and will give you the best results =D

I remember the box said it was suppose to be a fushia color but it was hot pink. It looked really cute too. I think it was around $10.00 for a kit but it worked good.
