What kind of dye is best for dying pink hair black!?

Ok so I have pink hair right now. I bleached it out to a yellowish blonde, cause my natural color is a dark dirty blonde, %26amp; I used 'Special Effects, Atomic Pink'. But that was about 4 months ago %26amp; my hair is really faded so this weekend I'm going to dye it black with Atomic Pink Tips. But I have a problem! I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT KIND OF BLACK TO USE. I want a dark jet black LONG lasting black [I dont have money to keep dying it so it can't fade fast] Today I went to Sally Beauty supplies, %26amp; She told me NOT to bleach my hair out %26amp; just put black over the pink, but it will wash out in about 2-3 days. Then whats the point of dying it ya know!! So YES I DO plan on bleaching my hair. Please help!!! I need to buy the dye BY thursday so I need help ASAP!!!

Blue black dyes will cover anything, and don't fade badly. Don't bother bleaching your hair first if you are just putting black over it. Let your hair get a little dirty/greasy before you color. It will take the dye better. Feria fades badly, but all the other blacks are just fine. Go to the grocery store and just buy a box. Don't bother with Sally's and the developer and dye.

I've used Revlon Colorsilk #20 Black without any problems. It hasn't washed out yet, and I've had it in for about a month now. It's lightened a bit, but not drastically. Plus, it's only like $3.99 a box at Walgreens. Oh, and I had my hair bleached white blonde with turquoise in it, and had to cover it for my job, so it definitely works.

I would go back to Sally's and get Wella Blue-black hair color, buy the developer and follow the directions. I would never buy hair color @ a drugstore, they have metallic in them which are very bad for the hair. No need to bleach your hair out, just put tiny elastics between what you want black and pink and then apply the dye black where you want the black and pink where you want the pink better than doing a triple process!!! Good luck and I hope I helped you!
