Help with blue and pink hair dye?

i have tracks...which are basically bleached stripes going down two peices of hair...

and i have blue and pink hair dye.. but everytime i die it the colors dont turn out well at ALL!! they are very faded and not bright.

i'm thinking that maybe i shouldnt dampen my hair(even though the directions say so)

also:

i know that my hair is bleached enough!! it is white!!!

and i leave it on for an hour AND apply heat so that certainly isnt the problem!!!

the best thing to do (if the dye is like manic panic or a similar brand) is leave it in as long as possible (24 hrs, if you can) then when you rinse it out do not use soap or conditioner for the 1st day or 2 after rinsing.

if you just recently bleached your hair then it will not work. Wait 24 hours and wash your hair since you bleached it. Then do as it says. or if you applied the conditioner to the bleach you really cant dye it.
