I want to dye my hair pink. Any good products or websites?

I want to dye my hair pink. Not like, for a week. No, permanently. (Or, you know, the kind you'd use on a regular basis.) I don't want to dye it some hideous brilliant color, just a light pink. Why? Because I think it's pretty!

My dillema is that I can't really find any pink hair dye around here, so I've gone to searching on google and yahoo. The task is daunting.

What are some good hair product brands that you recommend? Can you direct me to any site where I can purchase one online? I'm really NOT looking for that fake, cheapo, cartoony type of color. I want it to look good, you know?

Speaking from personal experience (I had my hair pink a year or two ago) your best bet is Special Effects hair dye.

I found that it held longer then Manic Panic (another company that sells abnormal hair color)

I have yet to find a "permanent" pink hair dye. But Special Effects lasted for about 3 weeks before fading. Manic Panic started fading within a week and a half. Then my hair was this weird peachy/yellow color. It was icky.

Or you could go to a hair stylist.

It's not easy to find permanent pink dye. The best you're probably gonna get is semi-permanent.

I had pink steaks in the front my hair, I used semi-permanent dye...it lasted for about a month. Of course, it fades over time, so gradually it will get lighter and lighter, and then you'll have to do it again.

I used Joico Hi-Def color, but only cause I worked in a salon. I'm not sure if you can get it any other way.

The only other ones I can think of are Manic Panic (which is not good for your hair), and Punky Colour, which are both temporary.

Manic Panic has a variety of shades and colours so you might be able to find something there.

Check out their site: http://www.manicpanic.com/creamswatch.ht...

The creams work well, are easy to apply - and the colors stay in for a good period of time before you have to re-dye.

Also, if you're using a color like pink, especially if its light (because it will fade faster) you might to skip a few days between washing your hair to make it last longer.

If you have to bleach your hair, make sure you lighten it enough so that the pink will show up - the lighter your hair color is before you apply the pink, the better. Of course, the downside is that it damages the hair.
