Pink hair streaks/highlights?

i have black hair (i straighten it) and it reaches to the middle of my upper arm (need to get it cut soon lol). i want sugar pink streaks in my hair..what brand should i use? is this even a good idea? lol. thanx =)

If you want to have seriously pink hair, you're going to have to bleach your hair first. I would suggest going to a salon to do that too, because black hair turns orange when bleached.

If you just want to tint your black hair a little pink (which looks totally cool by the way - subtle but cool), try Hot Topic for hair dye.

Seriously though, if you want pink pink streaks, go to a professional. They will do an awesome job. Try aveda. Excellent salons!

they prolly wont even show up because u have black hair. I have black hair with bleached highlights and it works but sugar pink prolly wont

If you get pink streaks that are permanent, the product that you use will bleach your hair since it is dark, and when the pink washes out, it will just be a bleach blonde streak. My friend did that to her hair and she has dark brown hair and now she just has a blonde streak. I think it's really cute so if you're willing to deal with it washing out, go for it. I can ask her what she used.

I personally think thats an awesome idea. My best friend actually has black hair and she put hott pink strikes in it. It was gorgeous!! You know you shouldnt listen to what anyone else says about it, if you want to do it then do it! It would look great!
